How do I resolve network connection issues?
Internet connectivity issues
Is your PC's internet connection hard-wired? If so, it is possible that your internet connection has inadvertently been configured with the static IP intended for connection to our launch monitors, preventing some communications with the internet.
To ensure that your hard-wired connection has not been inadvertently configured with a static IP address, please follow these steps:
- Open Control Panel
- Go to Network and Sharing Center
- Click Change adapter settings
- Clear the static IP for each of your Ethernet adapters:
- Right-click the network interface, then click Properties from the popup dialog
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) from the new Properties window, and click Properties
- Choose Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically from the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window, then click OK (twice) to save your changes
After clearing the static IP for every Ethernet adapter, click Retry once more for the Uneekor Launcher management software to see if it is able to connect. If so, please make sure to go through the setup once more from the Install Wizard, as you will need to reconfigure the static IP for your launch monitor now that you have cleared the IP for your Ethernet adapters. Make sure to configure it for the correct Ethernet adapter so you do not lose internet access!
Uneekor product connectivity issues
All launch monitors except EYE MINI
- Make sure you are using either the provided Ethernet cable, or a CAT6 or higher-rated cable, for connecting the launch monitor to your PC's onboard Ethernet port.
- Make sure the "launch monitor" static IP is still applied to the proper Ethernet network interface.
- Go to the Devices menu in the Uneekor Launcher management software.
- In the Launch Monitor Devices section, select from the dropdown the Ethernet network interface that your launch monitor is connected to.
- Click Select to reapply the static IP to this Ethernet network interface; this should reestablish the communication between the launch monitor and PC.
- Make sure the "launch monitor" static IP is still applied to the proper Ethernet network interface.
EYE MINI launch monitor
- If you are using the EYE MINI with an Ethernet cable, then make sure you are using either the provided Ethernet cable, or a CAT6 or higher-rated cable, for connecting the launch monitor to either your PC's onboard Ethernet port, or router, wall jack, or network switch.
- If using direct connection mode, make sure the "launch monitor" static IP is still applied to the proper Ethernet network interface.
- Verify the EYE MINI's onboard "Ethernet" and "Wi-Fi" settings are configured appropriately for the desired usage case.
- Ethernet - Static (direct connection mode): For wired connection of Ethernet cable from EYE MINI to PC's onboard Ethernet port
- Ethernet - Dynamic (network connection mode): For wired connection of Ethernet cable from EYE MINI to router, wall jack, or network switch
- Wi-Fi - AP(Access Point): For broadcasting an access point for iPad to connect to (when using VIEW Air); disallows EYE MINI to connect to PC over Wi-Fi
- Wi-Fi - Station(Client): For connection to PC; disallows access point broadcast to iPad
- If using direct connection mode, make sure the "launch monitor" static IP is still applied to the proper Ethernet network interface.
- If you are using the EYE MINI on Wi-Fi without Ethernet connection, then to ensure a stable connection between it and your PC, please ensure your SSID (Wi-Fi network) is broadcasting at least one of the following supported networks bands & channels:
- 2.4 GHz Band:
- 1 ~ 11
- 5 GHz Band:
- 36, 40, 44, 48
- 52, 56, 60, 64
- 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 132, 136, 140
- 149, 153, 157, 161, 165
Note: Should you experience issues with the EYE MINI's connection to your Wi-Fi, you may need to temporarily reconnect the Ethernet cable to the EYE MINI and PC during troubleshooting (i.e., rejoining the EYE MINI to your Wi-Fi network through Uneekor Launcher). - 2.4 GHz Band:
Balance Optix® mat
- Make sure you are using the provided Ethernet cable, or a CAT5 or higher-rated cable, for connecting the Balance Optix® mat to your PC, router, wall jack, or network switch.
- Verify that you have installed the Balance Optix® mat correctly.
- Direct connection (static ethernet) mode - For wired connection of Ethernet cable from Balance Optix® mat to PC via either the provided USB-to-Ethernet adapter or second onboard Ethernet port
- Network connection (dynamic ethernet) mode - For wired connection of Ethernet cable from Balance Optix® mat to router, wall jack, or network switch
- If using direct connection mode, then make sure the "accessory" static IP is still applied to the proper Ethernet network interface.
- Go to the Devices menu in the Uneekor Launcher management software.
- In the Accessory Devices section, select from the dropdown the Ethernet network interface that your Balance Optix® mat is connected to.
- Click Select to reapply the static IP to this Ethernet network interface; this should reestablish the communication between the Balance Optix® mat and PC.
- Verify that you have installed the Balance Optix® mat correctly.
- While the Balance Optix® mat is capable of Wi-Fi connection, Uneekor software does not fully support this feature, and using it may lead to unexpected complications and glitches. For this reason, we do not recommend or support Wi-Fi connectivity with Balance Optix® at this time.
