Why is my launch monitor not detecting my swings?
If the ball is detected but the swing is not, we refer to this as a "no read". To determine why a no read is occurring, try the following:
- For overhead launch monitors, make sure they are mounted in the correct position and orientation.
- EYE XO2, EYE XO
- Distance from launch monitor to hitting zone: 3 ft 6 in, in front of hitting zone (closer to impact screen)
- Height: 9-10 ft above the hitting area
- Orientation: Should be mounted such that the cables connect through the right side (when standing behind launch monitor)
- QED, EYE XR
- Distance from launch monitor to hitting zone: 3 ft 6 in, behind hitting zone (farther from impact screen)
- Height: 9-10 ft above the hitting area
- Orientation: Should be mounted such that the cables connect through the right side (when standing behind launch monitor)
- EYE XO2, EYE XO
- Make sure your launch monitor is connected through the onboard Ethernet port, not the provided USB-to-Ethernet adapter (which is intended for hardwiring internet only, if desired).
- For overhead launch monitors, try recalibrating, especially if it has been a while, and/or if the launch monitor, turf, or hitting insert has been moved/replaced.
Should you continue to experience issues with no reads after following these steps, then please submit shot feedback through VIEW, to be analyzed by our shot data analysts.
To submit your feedback, take a break from swinging—the report only uploads the last shot taken in VIEW—then follow the steps below:
- Click on the Feedback button located in the top-right corner of VIEW
- Enter your name and email address if they are not already filled in
- From the Description drop-down menu, select Misread, No read
- In the large text field, provide a detailed description of the questionable shot data you encountered
- Click on the Send button to submit your feedback
Once that's done, you can continue taking swings. Our shot analysis team may reach out to you if they notice something on your end that needs to be addressed. If they do not reach out to you, then please know that by submitting this type of feedback, you are helping our developers improve the launch monitor driver for greater accuracy in the future, for all of the community.
We appreciate your potential feedback and the valuable input you may provide. Thank you!
